I've redesigned an ok fitting olsen mask with:
- consistent fit around the face with no gaps
- two layers of 100% Canadian sourced cotton wovens, and/ or 100% organic cotton knits
- a nose wire pocket ( nose wire not included)
- ties that fit the top of the head, and the base of the neck for better fit
- and you can cut the elastic shorter to fit around your ears while maintaining mask fit
- a cordlock toggle to make it easier to put on
- a filter pocket
- the first hepa filter is included. It is one use.
- Here are few alternative materials you can make them out of. Here is a tutorial on how.
- The Corona virus is 0.3 microns, and the filters that we provide filter down to 0.3 microns for particles. I am not saying that these will be 100% effective, as no mask is, but from the research, masks that are made of tightly woven cottons that are layers can be up to approximately between 60% to 70% effective, and with the hepa filter layer, their effectiveness is increased.

And a little more about the masks:
- the masks are made in our studios where we disinfect all high touch surfaces that we are using, including tables, chairs, machines, door knobs, and tools. And of course, we are washing our hands regularly.
- The cost of the masks pay for materials & fair wage labor. Labour will include myself and my wonderful sewers, Lily, and Myra, my studio assistant, Katie who helps cut and bundle riyoko's pieces, and Dinah, my Product manager, who does all the behind the scenes organization so I can concentrate on design, cutting, and production.

- Lastly, I want to state that I am not a hepa filter or mask expert or scientist in any terms. I did research that I can share with you if you would like. I am, however, a quality designer and maker, and I do know fibers, so I will use the highest count cottons I have; And, to the best of my ability, I will build the best masks that I can.

True to size, depending on how snug you want the fit - the shirtband will stretch comfortably about 4" more than the size chart hip and waist size of the larger size indicated. For example, a S/ M will stretch from a 26.5" to 28" waist to a 30.5" to 32" waist.

Size and Fit:
True to size, and close fitting. The knit wool, cuffs, and concealed stretch panel gives ample room for ease of dressing and undressing, and for movement. The cuffs help keep the leg warmers in place, and the centre back seams makes it easy for you to align the reflective detailing with the back of your calves.

To measure your size:
You will need:
a measuring tape, a pencil, paper, the photo with measurement areas above, and possibly a friend to help take the measurements.
1. Using the measuring tape, hold the end of the measuring tape against the inside of your leg, about 2.5 inches below the groin at the inside of the thigh. Let the tape drop straight down to your ankle bone. Hold the tape taught, but it does not have to be against the leg. Just let it fall straight down to your ankle, and then hold the other end against your ankle bone and record the measurement.
2. Using the same above method, hold one end of the tape against the inside of the middle of your knee, and measure to your ankle bone.
3. to 7. Take a circumference measurement. Measure around each section 3 through to 7. Hold the measuring tape just tight enough that it does not slip or sag, but not so tight that skin is bulging over the tape.

Visit product page →Riyoko wants to make sure you love the length of your Tights. If you'd like to have them shortened, you've found the right place. To figure out what final length you'd like your Tights to be:
1. Check your size and length of the Riyoko Tights on the Size Chart.
2. Use the diagram and instructions on how to measure your inseam from the top of your inside thigh to the top or middle of your ankle. Write down your inseam.
3. Go into the shop, choose the Tights you'd like and add them to your cart.
4. Now you can add hem service!
5. When you get to the check out, you will see a section on the left bottom section that will ask for any special instructions. You type in your inseam measurements for us here.

Come join us in the bright & spacious riyoko studio to learn how to make a pattern, sew a test fit, and learn skills to remake the piece you want to wear time after time.
This class is five 3-hour sessions. The next sessions are:
Saturday May 11, 18, 25 & June 1, 8 - 10 am to 1 pm
*Beginner sewing experience necessary.
*Students will be asked to bring up to three simple pieces that they'd like to remake, such as button up shirts, blouses, sweaters, slip dresses, pants or shorts (No zippers!).
*Students are encouraged to bring their own supplies (pencil, eraser, pins, measuring tape, fabric scissors, paper scissors) except rulers (which are available for class use, or purchase in the Riyoko Work/Shop during the class) and paper which is supplied by Riyoko Work/Shop.
*We believe in supporting small, and local. In that spirit, we will not accept local or small designer brands garments as samples to remake. We hope you understand!
