Do you have that favourite vintage or fast fashion garment that you wish you could have forever, and make in a million colours? Want to recreate it? Come join us in the spacious riyoko studio to learn how to make a pattern, sew a toile, and get the foundational skills to remake the piece you want to wear time after time.
This class is five 3-hour sessions. The next sessions are:
Saturday May 13,20, 27 & June 3, 10 - 10 am to 1 pm

*We believe in supporting small, and local. We also believe in self sustainability through clothing. We hope that this class will provide an avenue away from fast fashion, and a new and inspiring direction towards self reliance and deeper knowledge into the process of making a garment. In that spirit, we will not accept local or small designer brands garments as samples to remake. We hope you understand!
*Students will be asked to bring up to three pieces that they'd like to remake, such as simple shorts ( no zippers), blouses, slip dresses, and perhaps t-shirts.
*Students are encouraged to bring their own supplies (pencil, eraser, pins, measuring tape, fabric scissors, paper scissors) except rulers (which are available for class use, or purchase in the Riyoko Work/Shop during the class) and paper which is supplied by Riyoko Work/Shop.
*We are dedicated to providing a safe, spacious and clean environment for the students to work in. We sanitize high touch surfaces before each session. Students will be situated 2m/ 6 ft apart in their work spaces to keep everyone comfortable and safe. Students are encouraged to wear masks in class but it is not mandatory.
