Students will learn how to read patterns, and how to choose fabrics and patterns right for the projects they are making. Like making your own clothes but have a hard time finding patterns with that perfect fit? Come learn the foundational concepts of pattern making through flat pattern drafting & 3D form alteration, and tailoring. Learn how to take proper measurements, adjust patterns, cut, and sew a muslin. This class teach you the foundational rules and language to go through pattern books to begin creating your own custom patterns, and the skills to adjust and fit patterns to fit you!

All About Sleeves! Winter 2025

All About Sleeves is a great follow-up to Pattern Making 101 offering skills to continue learning about fitting a beautifully tailored garment. Topics of discussion will include:
1) proper measuring of the arm and how to alter the pattern accordingly
2) how to calculate sleeve cap ease
3) what to do with those elbow darts! and
4) common and popular sleeve designs
Working hands-on, students will develop their own reference pattern making notes. This course will be jam packed with serious skills.

Come explore how to deconstruct and reconstruct clothing into one-of-a-kind pieces of your own! In this class, students will learn techniques on how to take apart, and put back together clothing* to create new fashion pieces of their own. From appliqué and patches to making a vest from a jacket, the possibilities are whatever one can imagine (within the functionality of construction;))! And with the right instruction, it can be fun and sew much fun to dive into!
*A few weeks prior to camp, students will be emailed a general list of clothing and materials to bring (ie. t-shirts, shirts, sweaters, jeans, jackets etc.)along with a few inspirational videos will be sent along to get the ideas going and help them with what to bring to class.
This camp runs Monday to Thursday. It is four 5-hour sessions. The camp dates are:
