A perfect travel companion to keep you warm along the journey. The travel hood is reversible, can be worn over your head, and can cinch up around your mouth and nose during the colder moments. It also fits nicely under a bike helmet. Lightweight, compact, and warm - throw it in your bag for the chilly days and nights, for weekend trips, or for the journey on the plane and over continents.
The solid side of the hoods are made from merino wool known for it's ability to retain heat, and still breathe to maintain an even temperature. The printed side is made from organic printed cotton. All the materials were sourced in Canada and the U.S, and sewn right in the riyoko studio.

Size and Fit:
True to size. There is ample room to fit over your head, and the length gives the hood depth and loft to create natural effortless layers around your neck, and face. The elastic drawstring and toggle make it easy to adjust and cinch the hood to your preferred level of neck and face coverage. When worn up, using the drawstring, cinching it up under your chin or over your mouth and nose will help keep the hood in place in windy weather.
Wash and Care:
Machine wash on gentle cycle, and hang to dry.

I've redesigned an ok fitting olsen mask with:
- consistent fit around the face with no gaps
- two layers of 100% Canadian sourced cotton wovens, and/ or 100% organic cotton knits
- a nose wire pocket ( nose wire not included)
- ties that fit the top of the head, and the base of the neck for better fit
- and you can cut the elastic shorter to fit around your ears while maintaining mask fit
- a cordlock toggle to make it easier to put on
- a filter pocket
- the first hepa filter is included. It is one use.
- Here are few alternative materials you can make them out of. Here is a tutorial on how.
- The Corona virus is 0.3 microns, and the filters that we provide filter down to 0.3 microns for particles. I am not saying that these will be 100% effective, as no mask is, but from the research, masks that are made of tightly woven cottons that are layers can be up to approximately between 60% to 70% effective, and with the hepa filter layer, their effectiveness is increased.

And a little more about the masks:
- the masks are made in our studios where we disinfect all high touch surfaces that we are using, including tables, chairs, machines, door knobs, and tools. And of course, we are washing our hands regularly.
- The cost of the masks pay for materials & fair wage labor. Labour will include myself and my wonderful sewers, Lily, and Myra, my studio assistant, Katie who helps cut and bundle riyoko's pieces, and Dinah, my Product manager, who does all the behind the scenes organization so I can concentrate on design, cutting, and production.

- Lastly, I want to state that I am not a hepa filter or mask expert or scientist in any terms. I did research that I can share with you if you would like. I am, however, a quality designer and maker, and I do know fibers, so I will use the highest count cottons I have; And, to the best of my ability, I will build the best masks that I can.

Size and Fit:
True to size, and close fitting. The knit wool, cuffs, and concealed stretch panel gives ample room for ease of dressing and undressing, and for movement. The cuffs help keep the leg warmers in place, and the centre back seams makes it easy for you to align the reflective detailing with the back of your calves.

Custom sizing is available. Just take your measurements as below and send them in with your online order in the special instructions area at check out, or come into the studio, and we can take them for you.
To measure your size:
You will need:
a measuring tape, a pencil, paper, the photo with measurement areas above, and possibly a friend to help take the measurements.
1. Using the measuring tape, hold the end of the measuring tape against the inside of your leg, about 2.5 inches below the groin at the inside of the thigh. Let the tape drop straight down to your ankle bone. Hold the tape taught, but it does not have to be against the leg. Just let it fall straight down to your ankle, and then hold the other end against your ankle bone and record the measurement.
2. Using the same above method, hold one end of the tape against the inside of the middle of your knee, and measure to your ankle bone.
3. to 7. Take a circumference measurement. Measure around each section 3 through to 7. Hold the measuring tape just tight enough that it does not slip or sag, but not so tight that skin is bulging over the tape.
Wash and Care:
Machine wash inside out, cold, gentle cycle, and hang to dry or hand wash and hang to dry.
