Come continue your sewing journey! Take your skills to the next level by sewing a fun summer skirt with us and build on skills from Sewing 101. In this class students will learn how to sew button holes, enclosed seam allowance, waistbands, different kinds of hem treatments and more pockets! The skills of sewing can seem daunting, but with the right instruction, it can be fun and sew much easier than you think!
This course is four 3-hour sessions. The next sessions is:
Saturday July 13, 20, 27 & August 10 - 10 am to 1 pm
* This class is for teens age 12 to 17 years old. Adult classes are 18 years +
* No prior sewing skills are needed for this class.
* Class fees include all supplies except fabric scissors, fabric and thread for the large project.
*Students are encouraged to bring their own sewing machines. Don't have a sewing machine? No problem! Just let us know and we can have one ready for you. Sewing machine rentals are $10/ per class

Students will learn how to read patterns, and how to choose fabrics and patterns right for the projects they are making. They will make simple and functional projects like pyjama pants, and gift pouches ( to hold all the things)! Come learn the foundational concepts of pattern making through flat pattern drafting & 3D form alteration, and tailoring. Learn how to take proper measurements, adjust patterns, cut, and sew a muslin. This class teach you the foundational rules and language to go through pattern books to begin creating your own custom patterns, and the skills to adjust and fit patterns to fit you!
This course is five 3-hour sessions. The next sessions are:

* Equivalent experience or Pattern Making 101 is the recommended prerequisite for all other pattern making courses offered by Riyoko.
* Students are encouraged to bring their own supplies (pencil, eraser, pins, measuring tape, fabric scissors, paper scissors) except rulers (which are available for purchase in the Riyoko Work/Shop, and during the class) and paper and fabric, which is supplied by Riyoko Work/Shop.
