This class is a great follow up to Pattern Making 101. From proper arm measurements to sleeve alignment and rotation for a perfect fit, and common flat pattern sleeve alterations, to learning how to draft leg-of-mutton, cap, bell and raglan sleeves, and continuous plackets, and sewing and set a full-scale basic fitted sleeve with elbow dart, cuff and continuous lap. Come learn the foundational pattern making skills and different techniques to pattern make, adjust and design better fit into your sleeves. This course will be jam packed with serious skills.

This pattern drafting class is three 3-hour sessions.

*Prerequisite for this class is intermediate experience, or Patternmaking 101

Class fees include all supplies except rulers, tape, and fabric scissors. Rulers are available for purchase in the Assemble Work/Shop, and during the class.

Instructor: Wendy Eakins

Wendy is a former Instructor in Pattern Drafting & Construction at University of Fraser Valley, and at the University of Manitoba. She has worked as a pattern maker in manufacturing, and most recently over the last decade, worked at as the Senior Cutter & Stitcher at Alberta Theatre Projects. She continues to work at Vertigo Theatre and Theatre Calgary, and now she is coming to Riyoko studio to share her depth of knowledge with us.
